blktap-utils software package provides utilities to work with VHD disk images files, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install blktap-utils
blktap-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the blktap-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep blktap-utils *
You will get with blktap-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
